To communicate and educate regarding
the benefits of blue light acne treatment and
to provide effective, affordable in-home light
therapy solutions.
History:
Intelligence Acne Treatment began through it’s
partner company, Sci\ART Global. In 2000 Sci\ART
Global went online, focusing on color and the human
being, which included light and color therapy.
In 2002, when the research was first published
about blue light for acne treatment, Sci\ART tested
what was, at the time, their current color therapy
lights “GE Dichro-Color” lamps, for
acne treatment on themselves and their family members
who had acne. They worked!
This was an affordable, in-home solution; a welcome
alternative to the dermatologist light therapy,
Clearlight, which typically costs $50 to $150 per
session!
Over the next 5 years, Sci\ART has sold dichromatic
lamps for acne treatment with great success.
As part of constant research and development,
Sci\ART continued to search for a safer, more energy
efficient line of color therapy lights. In 2007,
Sci\ART partnered with enLux LED to produce a 415nm
High Intensity LED for acne phototherapy.
The acne phototherapy business has grown dramatically,
and in September 2007, Sci\ART Global owner, Kathryn
L. Kalisz, and her daughter, Louanna Wilson, agreed
that the “acne business” needed it’s
own website, customer service, and fulfillment
team. Louanna has worked closely with Kathryn to
bring Sci\ART to the WWW and to make light and
color therapy information available to the general
public, complimented by effective, affordable products.
And so, Louanna founded her own business, “Light
Therapy Options” in order to manage the Acne
Phototheraphy business in association with her
mom. Kathryn remains available as a
resource for answering light-therapy related questions.
